The Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) has unveiled a national plan to attract young Emirati media professionals to its multiple media channels (Press, radio and TV). The new initiative, Engage in Future which is built on last year’s successful drive, aims to train Emiratis on various fields to become media persons, engineers and administrators. Ahmad Abdullah Al Shaikh, Managing Director of the DMI, said: “The initiative embodies DMI’s vision to deliver highest levels of creativity and quality-based excellence in consistence with Dubai Government strategy through corporate values that boast of national diverse competencies and experiences.” He renewed DMI’s pledge to recruit 500 Emirati trainees in the coming few years in support of Emiratisation. Through a clear vision that focuses on innovation and quality, and working in line with the strategic objectives of the Government of Dubai, the Dubai Media Incorporated seeks to create an archive of distinctive Arabic media resources that represent creative and meaningful television content, while respecting social, cultural and family values in the UAE.
