Fines totaling Dh56,000 have been issued to people for posting illegal advertisements around Abu Dhabi.
Teams from Abu Dhabi Municipality, the Department of Economic Development and Abu Dhabi Centre for Waste Management caught 56 people posting adverts in Al Shamkha, Al Shawamekh, Baniyas and Al Wathba. They also issued warnings to 83 people while carrying out an awareness campaign.
The campaign explains the need to secure necessary permits to post an advert or poster. Those who fail to do so face a fine of Dh1,000.
