Youth and Sports Minister Khaled Abdel Aziz on Thursday managed to end a crisis between the Syndicate of Journalists and Zamalek Sports Club Chairman Mortada Mansour.
Earlier in the day, a delegation from Zamalek, under Mansour, paid a visit to the EJS headquarters and met with head of the syndicate Yahya Qallash and a number of its board members.
During the meeting, attended by Abdel Aziz, Mansour announced a waiver of all lawsuits filed against journalists, said Gamal Abdel Riheem, a syndicate board member.
Mansour expressed full respect for the syndicate as well as all the Egyptian journalists.
Qallash, for his part, welcomed Mansour's visit and expressed appreciation for the "honored" club of Zamalek.
