Bahrain News Agency (BNA) participated in the inauguration of the Students Information Centre’s ceremony which was held under the patronage of Minister of Education, Dr. Majid Bin Ali Al Nuaimi at Muharraq Governorate, with the presence of a group of participants, collaborators and gifted students. The establishment of the Centre is due to the importance of the educational media in developing the skills of the male and female students in the media area, particularly the media has become a necessity. The Centre is also considered as a club which embraces the gifted and talented students in the field of media to be the nucleus for a generation who defend their country with the true word, and who raises the name of Kingdom of Bahrain high, and show its bright image for the countries of the world. The Centre has attracted about 86 male and female students during the three weeks since the beginning of implementing the plan, the programmes and the activities, where 16 workshops were carried out and the Centre completes its programmes according to the scheduled plan. The Centre has prepared a plan for the academic year 2013/2014, which includes training programmes in the area of Radio, Television, press and means of social networking. The Centre also carried out workshops in the skills of analyzing the contents of the media messages, and how to criticize them so as to distinguish between what is beneficial and what is harmful, in addition to the programmes which develop the students’ personal skills. The establishment of the Centre also aims at reinforcing the spirit of the responsibility and honesty of the true word for the right of the dear country. At the conclusion of the ceremony, BNA was honoured for its fruitful and constructive collaboration, and the great media role it plays in informing about its activities and duties in dealing with the news concerning its sources, edition and transmitting in the various readable, audio and visual media means.
