Adviser to His Majesty the King for Media Affairs Nabil bin Yaqoob Al Hamar has described the National Day as a prestigious popular festival that enjoys a distinguished status in the hearts of all Bahrainis.
He added that the private companies' interest in such a grand occasion stems from their love and belonging to the nation, and is way through which they express their strong affiliation to the country.
In a statement to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), Al-Hamar commended the efforts of DHL company towards society, and its commitment to marking the National Day each year, for the aim of consolidating patriotic feelings among the citizens.
HM the King's Adviser attended the celebration held by DHL on Thursday marking the National Day, in the presence of diplomatic corps and mass media outlets.
DHL Express Middle East and North Africa chief executive Nour Sulaiman stated that Bahrain has played a "pivotal" role in supporting the company at the regional level over the past three decades.
"The Kingdom of Bahrain has been integral to the success of our company on a regional level, facilitating our growth and operational efficiency for over three decades," he said.
"We take great pride in being part of this progressive community and greatly commend the efforts of the government in boosting business development and economic activity," he added.
"Our loyalty to this country continues to stand strong and DHL’s annual National Day celebration is testament to this – it is our tribute to the country and its people," he also said.
The annual event held by DHL, the world’s leading logistics service provider, marks the company’s strong affiliation to Bahrain which has been home to its regional express and logistics HUB for over thirty years.
