A new limited edition of the French hatchback has been released to commemorate the launch of the Formula 1 season. Renault is celebrating the launch of the 2012 Formula 1 season at the Australian Grand Prix with a special limited edition of their notorious coupe.The Renault Megane RS250 Australian Grand Prix Edition features a slick gloss black finish, fixed glass roof, bi-xenon directional headlights and a set of Steev 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Bridgestone RE050A tires. High-performance Brembo brakes have also been added.The interior of the special edition Megane coupe features Recaro sports seats covered in black leather, front and rear parking sensors and a satnav systemManaging director of Renault Australia, Justin Hocevar, said of the special edition \"The Megane R.S. AGP is the ultimate package. We have ticked every box in the building of this car and anticipate very strong customer demand.\"The Megane RS250 AGP runs on a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine rated at 247hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. It can sprint from 0-62mph in 6.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 152mph.The Renault Megane RS250 Australian Grand Prix Edition will be produced in only 50 units and sold exclusively in Australia. Pricing has been said to start just shy of $50,000. The Australian Grand Prix is scheduled for March 18th.
