The number of vehicles exported in November plunged 92.14 percent in Thailand compared to the same month last year and were down 88.56 percent from October, Surapong Paisitpattanapong, spokesman of Automotive Industry Club, said on Thursday. Only 6,258 units were exported in November with the total value of 14.96 billion baht (468.88 million U.S. dollars), down 69.5 percent from the same month last year, he added. \"Vehicle exports were at their lowest in almost 13 years,\" he said. All car makers had suffered from the devastating flood, he added. Car exports over the first 11 months of this year (Jan.-Nov.) totaled 70,581 units, down 15.06 percent year-on-year, with a total value of 326.33 billion baht (10.42 billion U.S. dollars), down 12.93 percent, the spokesman said. Auto production in November was recorded the lowest level in 12 years at 23,695 units as several auto assembly plants were submerged while some others suffered from supply-chain disruption, added Surapong.
