Major stakeholders in auto industry are gearing up to attend the 11th International Automobile Show, which is scheduled to open at Expo Centre Sharjah on Wednesday. The UAE’s leading automobile dealers have unveiled their impressive line-up of new launches and exclusive deals for the event. Liberty Automobiles, Arabian Automobiles, Al Gargash Motors and Al Nabooda Automobiles have big plans for the show, said their top executives at a Press conference yesterday. The four-day event is expected to attract 70,000 visitors. The exhibitors will also have great deals and several add-ons on their models, and also assist buyers in obtaining finance in order to cash in on the rising demand of new vehicles amid better economic conditions this year. “Aiming to take advantage of rising consumer confidence, leading automobile dealers have lined up a series of new launches and packed existing models with more technology and exciting features for 2013,” Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, director-general of Expo Centre Sharjah, said. The Press conference was also addressed by Duncan Peat, managing director, Liberty Automobiles; Karl Hamer, managing director, Al Habtoor Motors; Ghassan Nasser, sales general manager, Nissan — Arabian Automobiles; Adel Al Khaja, VIP and Government Relationship Manager, Al Gargash Motors; and Mazen Al Nashar, Audi Brand Manager, Al Nabooda Automobiles. It will display 2013 models of Cadillac, Chevrolet, Opel, Kawasaki and other special purpose and high-performance vehicles. It will be unveiling four all-new 2013 models — Cadillac XTS, Cadillac ATS, Chevrolet Trailblazer and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.?“We will mark the introduction of new and exciting brands to the Liberty business. This will allow customers to get a first-hand view of the new arrivals. Liberty has great confidence in International Automobile Show and we are sure it will be an even greater success for Liberty than the excellent 2010 show,” Duncan Peat said. Michel Ayat, chief executive of Arabian Automobiles, said, “Arabian Automobiles will be participating in the show for 11th time with our comprehensive line-up of Nissan and Infiniti models. “We will showcase the celebrated 2013 Nissan Altima during the show. At the Infiniti stand, the technologically advanced 2013 Infiniti JX will be the highlight this year,” he added. The centre of attraction at the stand of Al Nabooda Automobiles, the sole distributor of Porsche, Audi and Volkswagen brands in Dubai, Sharjah and other emirates, will be the newly launched Polo sedan. Al Nabooda will also have a competitive and tailored financing offer on the sedan. Another attraction will be Cayenne GTS, a vehicle that can grab the hearts and minds of anyone passionate about driving, and Audi S models. Gargash Enterprises, the authorised general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Dubai, will showcase the second generation Mercedes-Benz GL at the show. “We are excited to participate again in the show and we promise our visitors a wide range of latest passenger cars, especially the all-new GL. The award-winning large-size SUV occupies the top position amongst luxury off-road vehicles and is built around the modern Arab family,” said Adel Al Khajah, Govt and VIP Relationship Manager at Gargash Enterprises.
