Sharjah - Arab Today

Al Nabooda Automobiles, authorised dealer for Porsche in Dubai and Northern Emirates, is showcasing the Porsche brand at the 12th edition of the International Automobile Show in Sharjah.
Visitors arriving for the four-day event which is currently on going until November 29, at Expo Centre Sharjah will find an impressive array of Porsche models on display, including the new Cayenne, Boxster, Macan, Panamera and the 911 Turbo.
Also under the show spotlight is the race-track-ready Porsche GT3 Cup car which has made Al Nabooda Racing a dominant team in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East, the region’s leading racing series.
The show also creates a perfect platform for the sole distributor for Porsche in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, to underline its commitment to Sharjah.
As part of a Dh120 million ($32.6 million) investment, the company opened the new Porsche Centre Sharjah, which features a combined sales and after sales. HH Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qassimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council, officially inaugurated the new multi brand facility during its launch in May.
K Rajaram, CEO, Al Nabooda Automobiles, said: “This is an important event for us in many ways, mainly because we are passionate in our commitment to Sharjah and our customers here. We’re here this week to reiterate the message that our investment in Sharjah is a pledge and a commitment that we are here to stay.”
Vijay Rao, general manager, Al Nabooda Automobiles, Porsche Importer Dubai and Northern Emirates, said: “We‘re particularly proud of this facility, and are very happy to be out in force again at the International Automobile Show, highlighting Sharjah’s role in growing the automobile sector in the region.”
The company is also using the event to showcase the Porsche Drivers Selection Section, which features a range of new Porsche branded lifestyle items such as t-shirts, flip flops, sunglasses and memorabilia.
