The redesigned Italian super sedan will make its debut in Paris this September. Last week it was dancing on the ice in northern Sweden. Today it\'s lapping some quick laps on the Nurburgring in Germany. Maserati is busy testing their new Quattroporte in numerous road and weather conditions before its launch at the Paris Motor Show in September.Power is expected to come from the 4.7-liter V8. With some updates, however, it\'s expected to deliver some 475 horsepower. Power will go via an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox to the rear wheels or, optionally, to all four wheels Time will tell if this will be enough to take on those powerful German sedans that currently dominate this market segment in both Europe and North America.Even if the new Quattroporte will grow some to make room in the automaker\'s product profile for the upcoming \"baby Quattroporte,\" it will still be lighter than the current model due to the use of more lightweight materials.
