Calling the Maxximus Prodigy a supercar just doesn’t do it justice. That tag is reserved for Ferrari, Lamborghini and Bugatti. But with 2,000bhp and 0-100kph over in 2.1seconds, the Prodigy ought to be in a whole new class of cars. The ‘superduper class’ perhaps. And, if there was such a thing, the Prodigy would be at the top of it. Built by North American company Maxximus, the Prodigy will run on liquid natural gas (LNG) and be powered by a 7-litre Chevy V8 with twin turbos. This unit is mated to a hybrid all-wheel-drive system via a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Its body is made of carbon fibre while stopping power is produced by carbon ceramic brakes and it boasts a height adjustable suspension and an active front wing. The interior is fitted with a Macintosh sound system, sat-nav and AC so you could, theoretically speaking, drive it daily. You’ll never be late for work again...
