The South Korean company will be joining mainstream automotive advertising for the first time during the lucrative time slots for the Super Bowl.Hyundai, the up and coming automotive giant, will have its first Super Bowl TV advertisement in the forthcoming NFL final on February 5th.According to John Krafcik, Hyundai CEO, the brand should be more recognized for its entertainment values and get more memorability. Last year, Volkswagen and Chrysler enjoyed huge gains following their Super Bowl \'Imported from Detroit\' campaign featuring Eminem driving the then-new 200 sedan.Chrysler sales grew by 25 percent and its market share was up from 1.3 to 10.7 percent. Volkswagen sales grew by 25.3 percent and its market share was up by 0.3 percent to 2.5 percent thanks to their young Darth Vader and the Beetle promo. In addition to Hyundai, automaker including Audi, Toyota, and GM will also be running ads. Chrysler and Volkswagen are also returning in the hope of achieving the same success as last year. American auto sales are also expected to continue recovering into next year as well, with a forecast of 14 million units to be sold. Having the always fun Super Bowl commercial hit will certainly help any of the automakers.
