Our spy had this unusually lucky streak last week, when on a single day he spotted three facelifted Bimmers being tested on German roads. First up was the regional favourite, the X6. Looking as claustrophobic as ever, the only changes here are the new front and rear lights as well as redesigned bumpers. The next one to come along was a heavily camouflaged prototype of the 2013 3 Series Touring. Although very similar to the current model, the test mule appears to have a longer wheelbase, a higher front end for improved pedestrian safety, and a bolder character line. The luckiest chance was with the 7 Series, which zoomed past our spy before he could start clicking, only to be stopped by the police who fined the driver for speeding. But the fact is, there wasn’t much to shoot; the flagship saloon remains mostly unaltered but for some LED accents. However, we expect changes under the bonnet with the 740i likely to have 350bhp while the 750i could get up to 450 horses.
