The delayed return of the iconic Italian brand now has a date. Five models are expected with the 4C leading the charge. Alfa Romeo is poised to make its North American comeback in 2014, making its US debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. The star of the show, according to Autocar.co.uk will be the much anticipated 4C, a beautifully sculpted mid-engine sports car that\'ll go head to head with the Porsche Cayman.None of the cars that Alfa plans to launch in North America are in production just yet, but they are expected to make their world debuts in the next two years.Alfa plans to market its full range of cars in the US: the MiTo, Spider, Giulia sedan and estate (replacing the aging 159 series), a new compact SUV, and the new flagship sedan reportedly to be called the 6C.The 4C will be powered by a 230hp gasoline turbo engine with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox and paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The US isn\'t the only market on Alfa Romeo\'s expansion list. They are also expected to turn their attention to the larger world car market, specifically China.
