An eight-foot-long python, trapped in the undercarriage bay of an Indian Air Force An-32 transport aircraft in Agra, was rescued on Wednesday.
A Wildlife SOS team conducted a nearly five-hour operation to secure the safe rescue of the constrictor.
A member said: "We waited patiently for the python to release its grip so that we could safely transfer it to a transport carrier."
The python has been kept under observation at the Keitham centre of Wildlife SOS and will be released into its natural habitat when found fit.
