Police in central Vietnam questioned two men after finding four tiger cubs being transported early Tuesday. Acting on tips from an informant, Vietnamese police pulled over a car in Duc Lam province matching the description from an informant. Ho Sy Hanh and Bui Van Manh, both of Ha Tinh province, were inside, along with four tiger cubs and 119 pangolins, an anteater-like scaly mammal. The World Wildlife Fund said there are believed to be about 30 wild tigers in Vietnam, down from 100 a decade ago. Trading in tiger parts is illegal, but their use in traditional Asian medicine has made the wild tigers a valuable target for poachers. Tuoi Tre, a newspaper in Ho Chi Minh City, reported officials are taking steps to release the animals back into the wild.
