Authorities in Florida said they seized five snakes and a small alligator from the apartment of a man who did not have permits for the reptiles. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said officers seized a red-spitting cobra, a puff adder, a uracoan rattlesnake, two false cobras and the alligator from the Boca Raton apartment of Tyler Nolan, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Wednesday. The snakes were turned over to a licensed facility and the alligator was released back into the wild, the commission said. Officials said Nolan told officers he was in the process of obtaining licenses for the animals. He was cited on violations including possession of venomous reptiles without a permit.
