A private firm suggested a plan which gives a \"carbon-credit\" compensation amount of 70 Australian dollars to anyone who kills a camel. The Australian opposition liberal party supported the proposal which claims that to annihilate a herd of 1 million camel equals getting rid of carbon emissions of 300,000 motorcars. The largest herd of wild astray camels lives in central Australia and destroys farmlands and cereal crops.
