The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, NCMS, has urged motorists to be cautious, reduce speed and leave enough distance between vehicles due to possible dust storms caused by winds in various areas of the country.
In a statement on Sunday, the NCMS said that the weather today will be fair in general and partly cloudy at times, with some clouds will appear over some eastern areas of the country by afternoon. Moderate to fresh winds especially over the sea westward.
"The relative humidity will increase over some coastal and internal areas during night and early morning with a probability of fog or mist formation. Seas will be rough in the Arabian Gulf especially westward and slight to moderate in the Sea of Oman," the statement added.
The NCMS also said that for the next 48 hours the weather is likely to remain similar, noting that seas will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the sea of Oman on Tuesday.
