Daytime temperature has been climbing steadily as the UAE heads for the summer season, a weather forecaster told Gulf News on Wednesday. \"This is the transition period,\" said the forecaster at Sharjah Airport, adding that the temperature is expected to hit 37 degrees Celsius over the weekend. The time between March to May is said to be the \"Spring\" period. Even as the temperature climbs, winter weather patterns will continue to affect most areas. The winds will continue to blow dust in the interior and open areas until Friday and it will clear up only on Saturday. Southerly winds brought down visibility earlier on Wednesday, but will die down in the next two days, the forecaster said. The blowing dust reduced familiar landmarks to silhouettes iacross Dubai and the other emirates, but traffic moved smoothly. The sea will be rough, with high waves expected offshore. \"Just be careful [when venturing out into the sea],\" the forecaster said.
