The spring weather broke a 26-year record in Moscow on April 28, hitting 24 degrees Celsius (75 degrees Fahrenheit), Internet portal Meteonovosti said. “At 1 p.m. Moscow time, the air temperature was above 24 degrees, 0.1 degrees above the previous record from 1986,” Meteonovosti said. The temperature then rose to 24.9 degrees (77 Fahrenheit) by 2 p.m. Most of Moscow was still covered by snow as recently as April 10.
