The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) advised motorists to take precautions on roads due to the expected poor visibility and those who suffer from asthma to avoid exposure to the dust. On Friday, the sky was partly cloudy especially in the northern and the eastern areas of the country and slightly reduced visibility in open areas. The NCMS also warned of sea clubbing due to severe disturbance starting from today morning to Tuesday noon. The shamal will start lashing the country from the west at first, then gradually move in to the rest of the areas. It will be strong at times, especially over the sea and internal and open areas, kicking up dust. In the coming two days, there is speculation of a significant fall in temperatures. Friday was warmer in the internal parts where the maximum temperature reached up to 36 degree Celsius, while the lowest was 13 degree Celsius. The sea will be rough to very rough, with wave height reaching up to 8-10 feet offshore and 14 feet at times off the northern emirates. In a statement, the NCMS had predicted windy weather on Friday and today due to low pressure persisting over the north and east of Iran and an extension of high pressure coming from the northwest, that is the northern and central parts of Saudi Arabia. In the last two days, low pressure from the eastern parts of Saudi Arabia caused an increase in temperatures, noticeable over the western and interior areas.
