A strong cold front will sweep across north China bringing with it a sharp drop in temperature, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) forecast on Friday morning.
Temperatures will drop by up to 10 degrees Celsius in some northern regions starting from Friday evening. Strong winds will sweep through most of Xinjiang Uygur and Inner Mongolia autonomous regions.
The cold front will also bring snow and rain to parts of Qinghai, Gansu, Shaanxi and Heilongjiang provinces in the coming three days.
The center reminded people in the affected regions to make necessary preparations for the coming drop in temperature.
