A cold front is expected to hit Taiwan starting Wednesday, bringing rainfall and cooler temperatures in the north and northeastern regions, the island's meteorology authority said Sunday.
Temperatures will climb in the coming two days to a high of 30-32 degrees Celsius across the island, but are likely to drop significantly in north and eastern Taiwan on Wednesday as the cold front arrives, according to the authority.
The weather in most of Taiwan will be sunny or cloudy in the next two days. However, as stronger seasonal northeastern winds take grip of the north and eastern parts of the island from Wednesday to Saturday, it will become rainy and cool, the meteorology authority said.
