H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has been briefed on the plans, programmes and strategy of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment for the next phase in the UAE in general and the Emirate of Ajman in particular.
This came when H.H. Sheikh Humaid today received Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department.
Sheikh Humaid listened to an explanation from Dr. Al-Zouaydi about the ministry's policy and strategy, including the waste recycling project, which is one of the important projects for the ministry, serving the Emirates of Ajman, Umm Al Qaiwain and Ras al-Khaimah, and taking advantage of other emirates' expertise in waste disposal.
Sheikh Humaid stressed that the UAE's wise leadership pays great attention to the environment sector, saying that President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan harnesses all physical and moral potential to ensure a decent life for citizens and raise the level of services provided to them in this regard.
H.H. the Ajman Ruler praised the efforts of the Ministry in the field of environmental protection which maintains a sustainable environment free from pollution, highlighting the need for cooperation between all relevant entities seeking to use modern methods in agriculture, and rationalising the use of water.
H.H. Ajman Ruler also reviewed the ministry's plans regarding support for fishermen and farmers, and to provide all their needs to increase productivity in these sectors.
H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, also received Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, who briefed H.H. on the programmes, plans and strategy of the ministry, as well as projects to be implemented in the emirate in the future.
The two meetings were attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Representative of H.H. the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Municipality and Planning Department and Sheikh Dr. Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ruler's Court, along with a number of senior officials.
