German authorities are investigating Volkswagen subsidiary Porsche for possible manipulation of mileage and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions data, the Motor Transport Authority KBA confirmed today.
German news agency DPA reported today that a spokesman from the auto company , however, denied that there was any manipulation of software to influence the results of mileage and emissions tests.
Porsche parent company Volkswagen, Europe's largest carmaker, is in the spotlight after admitting in September of last year that emissions-manipulating software had been installed in its diesel engine vehicles.
