Turkey doubled its installed power in the energy sector with implemented projects in the recent years. Turkey increased its megawatt power from 31,845 in 2002, to 57,058 megawatt at the end of 2012. Turkey has added to its installed power about 25,000 megawatt in the recent years. Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz told Anadolu Agency that Turkey\'s growth of political stability continued and that the demand of energy also grew. Yildiz pointed out that they invested 100 billion Turkish Lira in the recent years to supply the energy demand and added, ten years later Turkey would need twice energy it currently consumed. \"To reach the 2023 targets we will invest 200 billion TL in the energy sector in the forthcoming ten years. The investments in two nuclear power plants and domestic coal will make the half of these investments. Domestic and renewable sources and electricity generation will be our priorities,\" Yildiz said.
