The Minister of Petroleum Makkawi Mohamed Awad has announced that the Western Darfur State was promising more oil production as production will increase in Zurga-Um-Hadid field and Sufian field will enter production cycle in near future.
This came when he discussed at his office Tuesday with the Wali (governor) of Western Darfur State Col. Al-Tayib Abdal-Kareem ways of joint cooperation in providing the state with the containers of fuels, establishment of social services and the projects of direct benefits to the citizens.
Col. Abdal-Kareem received the lists of the projects being implemented by the Petro-energy Company in the fields of services in eastern Darfur, which are expected to be opened soon.
He praised the efforts of oil sector in the state development, hoping augmentation of fuel storage vessels in the state, stressing that the
formation of his new government will contribute to the stability of the state and provision of necessary assistance to the oil companies to develop their oil projects.
