The Minister of Water and Electricity has signed 24 contracts for the implementation of water and sanitation projects in various regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at a cost of more than SR 361 million.The first contract is to implement a number of projects in villages of in Hail while the second contract aims to implement and replacement of water networks at Al-Kharj (Phase II) in Riyadh.The third contract includes the implementation of strategic tanks in Arar region and the fourth contract includes the overseeing of the implementation of dams in northern regions (Madinah, Qassim, Hail, Tabuk, Jouf and the Northern Border).The fifth contract aims at the construction of water storage dam and a plant for water distribution in Asir region and the sixth contract includes the supply and installation of equipment for water projects in provinces of Riyadh region, while the seventh contract includes the project of water transporting line from the feeding point to the tanks of Al-Rona in Asir region.The other contracts focus on water and sanitation projects as well.
