Kuwait's Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) is eager to upgrade the efficiency of its petrochemical factories, a senior PIC official said, adding that the company has carried out many maintenance projects in 2014.
Such maintenance projects include one for boosting the efficiency of the boiler of the PIC's ammonia plant in order to ensure continuing production, and for replacing the thermal brick of the ammonia plant's second reactor, the manager of the PIC's technical services, Ahmad Al-Mulla said in an interview with the company's Chemia magazine.
He also pointed to several other projects bearing on safety, health and environment, including a project for providing power to the company's head office, another project for gas sensors and a centralized warning system.
The official underlined the significance of carrying out periodical maintenance of the company's plants, primarily replacing and updating equipment in order to increase production at all factories.
He also pointed to the company's significant plans to boost its personnel's efficiency and to provide them with the best system and state-of-the-art technology.
