Kuwait took part in a two-day Greece Energy Conference which concluded in the capital Athens on Friday, where participants discussing ways to develop the energy industry in light of economic, logistic, and political challenges.Kuwait Petroleum International (Q8), the international marketing arm of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation participated in the conference at an invitation from the Greek Foreign Ministry in coordination with Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kuwait Embassy in Athens said in a statement received by KUNA.The statement added that the conference was held under the patronage of Greece Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos, and was attended by Q8 CEO and representative of Q8 northwest Europe Azzam Al-Mutawa, head of the strategy and planning team Engineer Meshal Hmoud Abu shaibah, and Q8 Acquisition Chief Talal Boshaitan.The conference discussed ways to develop the energy industry in Greece, and participants provided vital reports on Greece status and current integration with Europe concerning the energy sector, especially the gas crisis due to events taken place in Ukraine.The statement noted that Greece plays a vital role in supplying Europe with natural gas, including a project called the gas supply across the Adriatic Sea through Azerbaijan, Turkey and Greece.
