Director of Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) Naji Al-Mutairi held fruitful talks with President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE) Hashem bin Abdullah Yamani on means to enhance bilateral cooperation. \"The talks tackled activities and programs of KACARE and KISR in the field of renewable and alternative energy and opportunities for cooperation and joint action,\" Al-Mutairi told KUNA. The meeting held Monday on the sidelines of the 57th session of the General Congress of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which kicked of today. \"KACARE, founded three years ago, is focus on achieving sustainable development for the Saudi Kingdom through making use of atomic and renewable energy resources,\" Al-Mutairi added. He pointed out that KACARE seeks to invest in technological solutions, research and human resources development. Meanwhile, Al-Mutairi revealed that the KIRS had made great strides in renewable energy projects due to the economic and social feasibility of such projects. \"KISR has recently built and operated five renewable energy resources monitoring stations in five Kuwaiti cities to maximize the efficiency power generation and consumption,\" he said.
