Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker visited on Thursday the Electricity Control Center in Cairo as he ordered reconnecting the electrical circuits, which were affected by a technical fault at a 500-kV Cairo transformer station early in the day.
"Efforts are underway to repair the fault," Spokesman for the Electricity Ministry Mohamed Shaker said, adding that the electric loads will be increased gradually.
He added that the technical fault has affected several cities across the state.
