Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met Monday with Chairman of China Dongfang Electric Corporation, which is one of the largest enterprises in China engaging in the manufacturing of power generators and the contracts of power station projects.
During the meeting, attended by Egypt's Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, Mahlab said that Egypt welcomes delegations of Chinese companies who are keen on cooperation in the various spheres, said Cabinet Spokesman Qawish.
There are several promising opportunities for the Chinese companies in the Egyptian market especially in the electricity and energy field, Mahlab said.
The head of the Chinese company, for his part, said that the Egyptian electricity minister visited his company during his visit to China.
He further said that his visit to Egypt aims to get acquainted with its needs in this sphere.
