Egypt attaches great importance to its nuclear program to establish nuclear stations to overcome the two main challenges to sustainable development: including electricity and water.
This came in a speech delivered by Electricity and Energy Minister Mohamed Shaker during his participation in the 58th session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is currently being held in Vienna, and will run until September 26, according to a press release issued by Egypt's Electricity and Energy Ministry.
Egypt appreciates the IAEA's role in achieving economic development for the state members, he added.
He further pointed out to the important role played by the IAEA in supporting the peaceful uses of nuclear energy states.
