Dr. Ahmad bin Abdulla Humaid Belhoul AlFalasi, Minister of State for Higher Education, has discussed with a delegation of General Electric International Inc. (GE), ways to encourage Emirati human resources to involve in the private sector.

During the meeting, held at the ministry, they discussed co-operation and mechanisms to develop outputs of higher education. They also confirmed that the ministry gives great attention for the required specialties for jobs in the local market, especially to the innovative and creative specialties.

They also tackled the importance of continuous co-ordination with the private sector to support the government sector with quantum studies, encourage Emirati human resources to enrol in this field and adopt pioneering ideas which cope with the UAE Vision 2021.

Meanwhile, Dalya Al Muthanna, President and CEO of GE Gulf, made a presentation on the company's expertise in the field of attracting national talent in the region's markets and co-operation with the ministry as well as ways to take advantage of the Emirati capabilities and talent and integrate them into the private sector.

The delegation also provided models for the programmes provided by the company for graduates, which would contribute to empowering them as leaders of the future.
