Algeria should integrate renewable energies in investment projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, said Sunday here European expert in Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Axel Michaelowa. "Algeria has a huge solar energy potential that must be exploited to have a productive and clean economy. It will certainly allow it to have cheaper investments and to reduce the harmful effects of greenhouse gas emissions on environment," said Michaelowa during a meeting on greenhouse gas organized by the Club of Action and Reflection on Companies (CARE). The use of clean energies is the "most efficient" mean to fight against climate warming in accordance with the provisions of Kyoto protocol and Durban climate change platform, he said.
