Qatar’s Minister of Energy and Industry, the chairman and managing director of Qatar Petroleum HE Dr. Mohamed Saleh Al-Sada met here on Monday with the South African Minister of Energy Elizabeth Dipuo Peters. During the meeting, they reviewed the energy-related bilateral ties and discussed the prospects of exchanging of expertise between the two countries. The two sides discussed the possibilities of exporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied petroleum gas to South Africa, where they underlined the importance of cooperation in the investment fields of energy, petrochemicals and electricity. They also stressed the importance of contacts between the Qatari and the South African private sectors in order to build successful partnerships. The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials in the South African Department Of Energy and the members of delegation accompanying HE the Minister Al Sada.
