Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment, Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Daina, received here today the UK Ambassador to Bahrain, Simon Martin.
Dr. Bin Daina lauded the efforts being exerted by the ambassador to strengthen the solid bilateral relations in various fields, particularly environment.
He discussed with the envoy the outcomes of joint work, stressing the importance of taking advantage of the British expertise in the fields of environment and sustainable development, in addition to cooperation in the field of green industries, given their role in enhancing economic development.
The British ambassador expressed sincere thanks to the SCE’s Chief Executive for the meeting, praising the efforts exerted by the SCE through its programmes and activities to improve the environmental situation in the kingdom.
He underlined his country’s keenness on stepping up cooperation with the SCE in the field of environment through meetings, exchange of visits and support for all the SCE’s programmes and plans.
