Weather is likely to continue taking its odd course with successive cold and warm patterns as forecasters have been hinting about a surge in temperature this week. The developments could push the mercury to above normal values for almost a week and then it will again drop down to cooler levels. \"It will bring summer-like temperatures of early 30s [above 30 degree Celsius] across a wide area of the Arabian Peninsula,\" said Ahmad Sajwani, an Emirati weather blogger. The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) also acknowledges the forecast saying the weather will get fair in general from Tuesday, with temperatures tending to increase gradually. The change is expected to start setting in from Monday afternoon. Sajwani said the development will start from the Mediterranean Sea area and gradually move towards the Gulf region reaching here by Monday. Other GCC countries including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman will also come under its influence. Conditions UAE has currently been facing patches of cold and warm conditions for the last month and so. Winter has gone dry as conditions were dominantly windy and dusty with quick drop and rise in temperatures. Over the last three days, another spell of north-westerly wind has been passing through the emirates. The Arabian Gulf waters are very rough and NCMS has repeatedly warned people to stay off the sea. The winds also kicked up dust and sand in the western region of Abu Dhabi Emirate and other open land areas with a drop in horizontal visibility. Temperatures also dropped a bit and humidity was on the rise with occasional fog development in the coastal and internal areas. Humidity levels The NCMS forecast for today reports a hazy weather in general that could become partly cloudy at times. The winds speed will decrease gradually by evening and night. The relative humidity is likely to increase over some coastal and internal areas at night and early in the morning with a chance of mist or fog in these areas tomorrow morning. The NCMS said temperatures will start rising gradually tomorrow. Winds would be light to moderately rough. Sea will also be moderately rough with two to four feet high waves offshore. The relative humidity will continue to rise over some coastal and internal areas and chances of mist or fog also exist.
