Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had to leave here for Zurich by car due to bad weather conditions that prevented him from taking a helicopter.
Sisi had cut short his activities in Davos, where he attended the World Economic Forum, to attend the funeral of late Saudi King Abdallah bin Abdel Aziz al Saud, who died early Friday.
He and his accompanying delegation left Davos for Zurich airport to head for Riyadh. The car trip takes nearly two hours.
In Davos, Sisi was scheduled to lead a special closed high-level meeting to discuss international efforts against violence and extremism. He was also supposed to have meetings with French President François Hollande and US State Secretary John Kerry.
