Unstable weather condition prevailed the country since yesterday afternoon, at which the clouds had been accumulated over the Western Region and the islands accompanied with heavy rain started over Al Silaa and Al Guweifat and the western islands. The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said these areas were affected by the south western surface trough associated with upper air trough. These clouds, the NCMS, added, started to move slowly and gradually towards Abu Dhabi city and the surrounding areas and also towards south Western Region accompanied with rain, then moved towards Al Ain and the northern regions ( Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. This weather condition caused the wind to accelerate with maximum wind speed of 96 km/hr at Al Ruwais, which raised up dust, deteriorated the horizontal visibility , and caused the sea to be rough in Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. The NCMS forecast that unstable weather condition will remain affecting the country for the next 24 hours, with partly cloudy to cloudy over some places specially over the northern and eastern region accompanied with rain causing valleys to overflow. 'Wind will be moderate to fresh and gusty at times over the sea in specific,' the NCMS said. On Saturday, the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy especially over the northern and eastern regions, with a chance of rain, although the unstable weather condition is weaken by afternoon times, while sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman. The NCMS advised the people to take precautionary measures to go to the deep sea in Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman during the period mentioned above. Motorists should take care while driving during rain and avoid to go to the running valleys and flooded areas, especially the areas near the mountains, during thunderstorm and lightening activities.
