Eng. Mariam Mohammed Saeed Hareb, Acting Assistant Under-secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Water for Water Resources and Nature Conservation Affairs, has visited China, Japan and Taiwan to acquaint with the best experiences and practices in the areas of agriculture and fish farming.
These visits come within the framework of technical cooperation, which will contribute to promoting the use of modern technologies and innovations in the development of the agricultural sector in the UAE. They also aim at studying the most recent scientific experiences in the field of aquaculture.
Eng. Hareb stressed the Ministry's keenness on the agricultural sector development and promotion of environmental sustainability, noting that the UAE attaches great importance on the development of agriculture, water guide and sustaining living aquatic resources through enhanced cooperation with the scientific and technical organisations, universities and scientific research centres, as well as all agencies and institutions to exchange successful experiences in line with the UAE Vision 2021.
