A memorandum of understanding between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Morocco in the field of water-related cooperation was signed here today.
Saudi Minister of Water and Electricity Abdullah al-Hussein singed on behalf of the Saudi side while Acting Minister of Water Sharafat Afilal signed for Morocco in the presence of Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Judaie, Saudi ambassador to Morocco.
In a statement on the sidelines of the signing ceremony to SPA, Al-Hussein said the agreement, which covers sharing of experience in water issues, ways of preserving water, upgrading the technological abilities and improving the human and material resources in general, allows the two parties to exchange visits and experiences to further improve the current achievements in the field of water in the two countries.
He cited Saudi Arabia's experience in the field of water desalination and Morocco's experience in the field of water reservoirs and dam building.
