Light to medium rain has been reported in Alexandria and different parts of the western Northern Coast.
A spree of bad weather that started in Egypt Tuesday continued Wednesday.
Strong winds and low visibility due to the sand storm affected traffic.
Waves have reached three meters high, spilling into the Corniche road near el Raml district.
Alexandria police are deployed to ease traffic and prevent any congestion.
