Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab earmarked 58 million pounds for completing drinking water projects in Fayyoum.
They were part of 138 million pounds that have been earmarked for supporting the drinking water projects in many governorates, said Mamdouh Raslan, the head of the Holding Company for Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage.
Raslan said the government is planning to carry out 10 investment projects in Fayyoum at a cost of 112 million pounds.
Out of the 10 projects, five have been approved by the government at a cost of 77 million pounds, Raslan said.
