Head of the nature conservation sector at the Environment Ministry Mamdouh Moussa and South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda visited the Sharm El Sheikh center to watch migratory birds.
The birdwatching event took place on the sidelines of the governorate's celebrations marking Sinai Liberation Day.
The center will be used in environmental tourism and educational purposes to monitor and study the pattern of migratory birds, Moussa said.
It will be run by the ministry, South Sinai governorate and the land's owner the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, he said.
