The Nile water volume has reached 35.645 billion cubic meters since August, predicting a reserve of over 140 billion cubic meters during the present water year, said Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel-Motleb. The water year starts on August 1 and ends on July 31, the minister said in a statement. The Nile water level increased for the fourth day running four centimeters on Thursday, registering 175.9 meters. Water released from Aswan Dam reached 140 million cubic meters, while the quantity of water arriving freshly at Lake Nasser today amounted to 348 million cubic meters, according to a report by the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation.
