The Higher Committee for Floods at the Ministry of Water Resources and Electricity reviewed in its meeting Wednesday the water situation in the upper Nile sources and along the Blue Nile course , the main Nile and Atbara River.
The committee learned from data received from the main stations and the satellite pictures that there are scattered clouds on the Ethiopian Plateau, therefore that stability of the Nile levels are expected in most of the sources of Damazin - Sennar, Khartoum - Atbara and Khashm Al-Girba Dam-Atbara, Atbara - Atbara- Merowe Dam, Merowe Dam source- Debbah- Dongla, while Sennar - Khartoum source is witnessing rising.
Meanwhile, the committee called on the citizens and the concerned bodes at all the upper sources to take the required precautions and means to protecting their lives and properties.
