A new strategy is currently underway for the development of ecotourism, protected areas and recycling of agricultural wastes, said Environment Minister Laila Iskandar. "We are now following a new method in dealing with rice straw as the cabinet approved the creation of a new department for solid wastes," said Iskandar in statements to MENA Wednesday. A pilot project for solid wastes will start in Manyal and Mokattam districts this month while other districts in Giza governorate will be included in February, said the minister hoping that Egypt would move towards the green economy and green jobs
